Nothing but sunbathing in the calm and tranquillity ..

When we first arrive at this magnificent stone building,  in the midst of the olive groves, we feel instantly good, almost as if we are in a cocoon, that we do not ever want to leave…We have only one desire, to lie out by the pool, read, make the most of life, do nothing, just admire the sublime view and the countryside that surrounds us. Which is exactly what we did.. We spent 2 perfect days in this magical place, reading and sleeping by the pool, (we also worked a lot too but shhh.) .. I also loved the rooms, clean, bright and very pleasant, with a spacious bath tub and Nuxe products.. perfect..

The décor and the ambiance of the hotel is really nice, zen, peaceful, light, with clear lines, beautiful natural material like wood and stone, all of this is soft colours and tones .. And the breakfast was very filling too, homemade and excellent, we could take it on the terrace, or in the hotel restaurant…It is certainly difficult to resist when you have all these delicious choices in front of you!!! In short, Le Vieux  Castillon ticks all the boxes…

Excursions .. 

As we were already familiar with the region, and as we especially wanted to make the most of some time away together, We did not leave the hotel really, unless it was to go for pancakes in the nearby village of Uzès.. But there are a great deal of things to see and to do in the region, starting with the magnificent Avignon bridge, Nime, and lost of caves for wine tasting amateurs.. Actually in the hotel itself, they offer package deals depending on your choice and interests.

=>For example there is the “cultural” package, or the “ route des vins”, a “Gastronomie” offer, and also a special “ Bed and breakfast” package deal… Something for everybody!!!
