# beauty rituals : 6 beauty face masks to try out...

You will have probably got the drift by now that I am a huge follower of cosmetics, and more specifically face masks / care which I apply generally before, during or after my bath, for a moment of complete and utter relaxation. So here is a small selection of my personal favs of the moment, with their different textures and uses… I have tried and tested all of them, and vary them according to the season and my skins needs…

Clarifying masks ..

1/ Fresh Rose Face Mask

Lets begin with the face mask, Fresh, made with rose petals, rose oil, and cucumber extract. Its brown color is a little bit surprising, but the gel like texture is pleasant and refreshing, it melts on the skin. This delicately rose perfumed mask is really pleasant and suits all skin types.. It is very soft, moisturizing and calms and reduces the lines on our skin after usage. We can apply it daily if necessary.

2/ Vitamin rich radiance detox Bio Beauté by Nuxe

Time to move to detox mode with this mask made from Orange water from the Bio Beauty brand by Nuxe. It smells great and is very tempting.. its thick texture and orange color remind me of marmalade .. I absolutely love it .. Leave it on for 20 minutes for fresh, soft and bright skin after rinsing;) Apply 1 or 2 times a week, and it suits all skins types. (18 euros)

= > I apply these 2 “gel” like masks with a wooden spatula for an even spread that is not too thick, which is pointless with a gel texture.

3/ Raspberry soft mask by Dr Renaud

I love this hydrating, refreshing and soothing paraben free treatment. The skin feels well hydrated and relaxed after rinsing. The texture is smooth and is easy to apply, also it smells deliciously of raspberry 😉 Apply a thick layer and leave on for 10 min before rinsing.. You can use it 1 or 2 times a week or whenever you need it.. It suits all skin types. (22,50 euros at Nocibé )

4/ Tolerance extreme mask Avène

This one is particularly suited to sensitive and ultra sensitive skin. It is kind of an emergency treatment and I only use it when my skin is fragile, dried out or irritated. This mask is a really soothing and repairing care for the skin. Apply a thick layer and leave it to rest for 5 minutes, but personally I leave it for roughly 20 minutes or even longer because usually my skin absorbs the mask. I remove delicately the layer without rinsing and go to bed. (14,30 euros )

5/ Magnolia Balm Mask Erborian

This mask of the Korean- French brand is just divine, creamy, relaxing and smells so good. Apply a thick layer and for an even more relaxed experience, leave on during a bath just like the ritual of the Korean bath. Result: a beautiful hydrated, rested and satin skin tone. (Price 39,90)

The peel off..

6/ Peel off Strivectin

Here is the brand new treatment range by Strivectin 😉 This silver peel off mask, made from colloidal silver is absolutely fabulous due it color and its immediate efficiency. Apply an even thick layer to the face, avoiding the circles around our eyes. Leave to rest for 20/25 minutes until it is really dry, and then remove starting with the bottom of the face 😉 The skin is bright, exfoliated and smooth.

=>For sensitive skin like mine, we can feel some prickly sensation in the beginning (that quickly dies down after several minutes) and after removing the masks, I have some little red patches which also fade away quite quickly. And after my skin is really much more beautiful, softer and brighter..( (59 euros at Sephora )
