To develop this collection, l’Occitane have been inspired by aromatherapy, and also by the influence of essential oils over the body, spirit (and mood), and it is really quite a success… All the products smell really good, the textures are very pleasant, the treatments themselves are very effective, and I love the vintage designs of the bottles which are also very practical. The Aromachologie collection consists of three different ranges; Relaxing, Rebalancing and Revitalizing, with numerous products for the face, hair, body and even the home… In this post, I have chosen to present several of the products from the Relaxing range as they are the ones I use most frequently at the moment…
Relaxing bath oil.. just simply amazing, made from lavender, bergamot orange blossom and mandarin etc I just cannot get enough of it.. The scent is so divine and relaxing, perfect for a long soothing bath, allowing the skin to absorb it’s beautiful scent…
Relaxing massage oil… the same delicate and relaxing scent than that for the bath, the massage oil made from sweet almond oil is really pleasant to apply ; either to massage yourself all over your body, or if you are lucky enough, let your love treat you to an indulgent massage after taking a bath, to really rid yourself of any unwanted tension…
Foot and hand relaxing balm… an another must have product that I use daily ; this balm made from karite butter and beeswax is perfect for hydrating hands and feet, especially when it is cold out. Here too you can also find the same essential oils of lavender, bergamot, mandarin, sweet orange blossom and geranium, and the delicate soothing perfume is what makes this product so relaxing.. (this balm’s scent is nice but maybe a little too present for daytime use, so I only use it when at home, specifically in the evening, and often before going to bed, or after taking a bath for example)
The universal, purifying water / Home and bedding … My fav.. This is like a water spray or a mist made from essential oils of cypress, juniper berries, lemon, thyme and eucalyptus. It smells just out of this world, and if like me you like your home to smell slightly and tastefully scented, you will love this.. I spray everywhere in my house, and also my bedding and sheets, curtains, towels etc And It can also be used to neutralize any bad or unpleasant smells or to refresh your house..
And in the same style there is also the relaxing pillow mist that is really (really!) great, you can vaporize your bedroom, the sheets and pillows for a peaceful nights sleep.. I did speak about this a little in one of my last post, but since then I have actually finished the bottle 😉 This pillow spray is before anything else, the best seller of the collection, and is also a part of the Relaxing range…
