# 6 tips to give your skin a boost during winter (and all year round )..

Hey there ! I hope you are all doing OK! Today is going to be a skin special, because seriously I don’t know about you but for me, in winter my skin (and my mood in general actually) is at an all time low…. I have a super fragile and reactive skin type, that needs maintaining and looking after, so I need to pay super attention (I don’t actually have the choice to be honest).. I often pamper with great beauty products, remake up with organic oils, try to keep out of the sun, and when I go on sunny places, I use factor 50 SPF and a hat.. But that’s not it, I also have several tips that I’m going to share with you today, because whether it is fragile or not, we all should look after our skin…

1/ LED ..

After a few sessions of using the LED lamp, you will be a brand new person ! I discovered this a few months ago, and since then I have become addicted ! In fact, I recently did several LED sessions in order to repair and accelerate the healing of a scar, due to a slight injury on my cheekbone, and I noticed the effects on the whole of my face and was just astonished ! I didn’t really start out intending to use it for that purpose but I was so pleased with the general improvement to the overall aspect of my skin, which really helped to reduce small spots, even-out the pigmentation and just my complexion in general was a thousand times better after just a few sessions… So from now on, I will go probably twice a month or more, just for maintenance purposes if I fell the need for a healthy glow effect, the day before a photo shoot for example just to give my Parisian skin a little booster 😉

For info, the LED produces a red light which allows the skin to regenerate, but also to increase the production of collagen without damaging the skin.. It’s basically an excellent treatment for stretch marks, acne, scars, dull or tired complexions and hair loss. Sessions last from 16 to 28 minutes according to your needs. You lie down, close your eyes and imagine that you’re somewhere else, a beach for example.. honestly it is just fabulous. I would recommend doing 8 to 10 sessions and then one maintenance session from time to time when we really feel that we need it, or if we have an important upcoming event and need glowing, gorgeous skin.

2/ Mesolift

This is a huge booster for dry, weak, and dehydrated skin. The practitioner applies a cocktail of vitamins underneath the skin using a needle, and then leaves it to rest. It’s best to combine this with the LED sessions to improve results. Do not hesitate to do several sessions if you think it necessary. It’s neither painful nor incisive, and honestly makes the skin look a lot brighter and much more hydrated and smooth…

3/ Vitamins

It is a well known fact that beauty comes from within. So do not hesitate to take a cocktail of vitamins every day: oil of borage, evening primrose, hyaluronic acid, magnesium, Omega 3, zinc, yeast etc.. And for fragile, inflamed or damaged skin, or skin that is marked or scarred, you can add turmeric supplements… Taking some pills as a morning routine isn’t actually my thing, personally, but when the doctor prescribed me a cocktail of vitamins to boost my skin after my cut to my cheekbone, I immediately started to see a significant different to the overall aspect of my skin, so I have been taking them ever since

4/ Moisturizing & pampering at home !

Always apply a good serum or a repair cream in the evening after make-up removal (using oil, not water) to nourish the skin while we sleep.

5 / A wave of the magic wand…

To give yourself a healthy look, add a touch of “Eau de Soleil” by Terry, which gives us a natural slight tan as if we have just got back from a sunny week-end in Marrakesh. If you want to look like you have just hopped off the plane from the Maldives you can apply more but I think its a bit much, and looks a bit silly, especially if our body is completely white. Be careful, this is not a fake tan or a self tanning lotion so to speak, but more of a sun glow, which is meant to give us a slight sun kiss effect, or intensify and naturally extend our suntan, without leaving traces, marks and orange streaks. The result is just amazing, I honestly love this so much !

6/ A trip to the dermatologist..

Yes, once in a while you must absolutely visit your dermatologist. For me it took a long time to find the perfect one, someone who didn’t just cover me in chemical creams, and insist on me taking loads of over-the-counter drugs and medication. And when I finally found this particular dermatologist, I asked for a peeling for my melasma issues and she instantly refused, explaining that first we have to heal and sooth the inside with natural treatments and then talk about doing a peeling. I knew then, that she was the one for me!! And I was right, she is absolutely amazing, go without hesitation , here are her contact details!

I hope this little recap has been useful! As always I am here to help if you have any questions.

Kisses!
