- On paper, this new range containing hyaluronique acid, grape seeds extract (polyphenols) and sap from vine plants (viniferin), is the perfect booster for brightness and firmness, and it works wonders when applied to your anti aging routine because it is anti-wrinkle, and anti-marks. Its mission: to turn back the clock, smooth the wrinkles, brightens and firms the skin, reduces dark circles or puffines and restore our skin, giving it a glorious, beautiful glow, in a matter of weeks…
- The range : the Premier cru collection includes 4 products: the serum, the cream for normal skin or the rich cream for drier skin, the eye cream and the precious oil. The packaging is rather classy with a mix of glass and gold. Most of the flasks are with a pumps, except the cream for dry skin which is in jar and the oil which is in an ointment bottle, with a pipette. In terms of price this new collection aims to be more high-end with more precious ingredients, and therefore, obviously slightly more expensive than the other products by the same brand…
- The real deal : I received three of the Premier Cru treatment to try and test it ; the serum, the eye cream, and the rich cream for dry skin.. OK so to be really honest with you, Im not really old enough to have loads of wrinkles, spots and marks on my face, however I have already seen, around my eyes for example where the skin is a little more supple, a definite change. The outline of my eye is smoother, and I can definitely tell a difference on my face, where the skin is much more radiant and beautiful, which fewer marks and red patches. So I will be basing my review on these experiences and explain in detail about each product separately.
- And for the guys: Peter has also tested this range which he loves and although he uses nor the eye cream neither the rich cream at all, he simply loves the serum, and is more than happy with the results.
- The serum.. ok first of, I am definitely a serum lover cause they suit my skin better, as oppose to creams that can sometimes be too rich or greasy for my preference, so no surprise, serums are part of my daily beauty routine.. I have been using the Caudalie premier cru serum non stop ever since I received it and seriously it is just divine, there are no other words.. In terms of texture, this gel like serum is very pleasant and applies easily, it is not too thick nor oily, and penetrates well into the skin without leaving the face, shiny. And to add to that, it smells great too ! The result ; for me this was a huge success, I found my skin to be moisturized, brighter and softer with each new application. Apply it in the morning and the evening to a clean face, neck and cleavage (and I also put it on hands)..
- The rich cream.. So as the name suggest this is rich, very rich and nourishing.. but even though Im usually not a huge fan of this kind of cream, this is actually quite light considering, and does not leave an oily or greasy film on the skin. I loved it! I apply it in the evening after having applied the serum .. According to Caudalie, using the serum + cream together is much better for optimal results .. We can also apply the rich cream in the morning but for me it is a little too much, Im happy just to apply the serum.. And for those with normal to mixed skin types you can use the regular premier cru cream, to apply morning and/or in the evening. And again it terms of smell, its very very nice..
- The eye cream .. Goodbye dark circles and puffiness ! Met my new best friend and constant companion, especially on difficult mornings when I really need to look fresh and well rested for photo shoots! The texture is amazing with a matt finish and an iridescent side to it, which is just what I need to illuminate tired eyes, wrinkles and dark circles. In terms of smell, this also has the same delicate, light scent like the other two products. To finish, the eyes are well hydrated, with a much less tired look after a few hours. Mission accomplished…
