Give your skin a boost ..
On paper : This new range of five products is designed for stressed and tired skin, for use on a daily basis. Crème Prodigeuse Boost is a gorgeous new version of the original Crème Prodigieuse range. It features new textures which are fresh and light, as well as new pink bottles. While the original was made of flowers like helichrysum, the boost version uses jasmine, which is full of anti-oxidants. In terms of the fragrance, it’s very sensual and delicate, like all Nuxe products, with a soft mix of jasmine, musk and pink litchi.
In reality: I’ve been testing these products for a few weeks now, and I’m pretty much won over by this new collection. The new textures are light and are great for normal & mixed skin. They are easy to apply and don’t leave that shiny, greasy appearance after application (I really hate that ^^). They also smell amazing! For those of you who already use Nuxe, it’s like the brand’s signature scent but a little more sugary – it must be the litchi! I love it, but Peter not so much. Apparently, it’s too feminine for him… so for once he won’t be using my products 😉
A look at the details of each product:
- The night recovery oil balm: This one is just for use at night as it’s very rich. Composed of jasmine flower, calendula flower and macadamia oil, it hydrates the skin well and has a really nice texture. It’s perfect for normal to combination skin types. However, I’m not convinced that it’s rich enough for very dry or very dehydrated skin, which needs something more targeted – like the Nuxe’s crème fraîche line for example.
- The energising priming concentrate: I love it because it has a gel texture which is quite surprising. It’s non-sticky and easily absorbed by the skin. I apply it every morning before my makeup and every other night (I alternate with the oil balm because the concentrate is lighter). The concentrate contains natural hyaluronic acid and it plumps and revitalizes the skin, and prepares it for the next skin care product and makeup. 😉 I just love the scent, it’s so good – the same one as the whole line.
- The multi correction gel cream & silky cream: I only use the gel cream, which is lighter than the other version. I don’t like the silky one as much because I find it a bit rich, but that’s just my personal opinion. You’ll have to see which works best for you, especially as the two skincare products are designed to suit all skin types. Both have a matte finish and are easily absorbed. They should be applied in the morning, after the priming concentrate, on the face, the neck and decolté.
- Eye balm gel : I don’t often use eye cream at night and when I do, I tend to opt for serums or gels as heavy textures tend to give me swollen eyes or bags in the morning – and that’s not the aim of the game! ^^ This isn’t the case with this product though. Even though it’s a “balm” the texture is wonderful and fluid – which means I can use it in the morning and at night and not have any swelling the next day. Actually, I mostly apply this one in the morning as it really freshens up the eye area.
Voilà for this new, all pink line! If I had to pick just one, I would choose the energizing priming concentrate, which can be used day or night – it’s really great!
Kisses !
