Today I’m going to talk to you about something We ‘ve been trying out for a few months now and which is super practical, especially in Covid times .. It’s an eco-friendly air washer, a device which purifies and humidifies the air in a natural way, by recreating the effects of rain.
Why get an air purifier ?
I’m asthmatic, which is already a good reason to get one. Living in a city where the air is always polluted (even though we may stop noticing it after a while) is another, as is having animals, with all the fur they leave behind them. Basically, we were prime candidates!
How does it work ?
We chose the Robert model from Stadler Form, a top-of-the-line, high-quality Swiss design brand, which is specialized in devices like fans, humidifiers, dehumidifiers and air purifiers.
Robert ’s job is to purify, humidify, and diffuse. These are the 3 functions of this super device which helps to make air become purer and less dry. It captures particules such as impurities, smoke, dust, pollen and animal fur…and with 5 animals at home, we love it and we can see a real difference since using it, especially me with my asthma. The icing on the cake is the little tray for adding essential oils so you can diffuse them around the house, which is really great! At the moment, we are diffusing lots of antibacterial oils, like eucalyptus, tea tree, lavender and oregano, at home.
There are numerous benefits of humidified air for your interior, starting with your health. Your skin and hair will be less dry and it is also really great for the airways and nasal passages (especially when you have a cough, rhinitis or allergies to pollen, dust or dust mites, asthma, snoring or nose bleeds). And you’ll definitely sleep better. ; ) Plants, floors, furniture, musical instruments and artworks also benefit from humidified air.
Usage :
On the technical side, it is very easy to use. There is a water tank, which needs to be filled up regularly. There is no need for a filter, as everything is retained in the tank, which you just need to clean every two weeks in the dishwasher. The control panel is tactile, with a movement sensor and, last but not least, it’s really quiet! You can barely hear it and it has a night mode to reduce the sound even more…
>> The water is a wonderful natural filter which retains all the particules contained in the air. There is a silver cube within the device, which stops germs growing in the humidifier (this cube lasts one year).
Where to put it ?
The best place for it is in your bedroom, so you can sleep better and make the most of all of the benefits. It’s best to close all of the windows while you use it or it won’t work properly. (We use it a lot for the mid-season or in the winter, as in the summer we have the windows open all the time).This model covers up to 80m2.
Design :
It’s quite pretty, modern and sleek, and its design won quite a few awards ! We chose white and silver because that went well with our place but it is also available in black and white.
