#my travel ritual by Diptyque ..

I have always been a fan of Diptyque’s scented candles, but recently I learnt that they also do a beauty and skincare range too, made with plant and flower infusions. So obviously I just had to test them. Well, what a beautiful discovery,which I am going to share with you today, because I am completed won over by it …

My favorite at the moment ? Their little skin care travel kit, which I take everywhere, with me …

1/ L’art du soin skin care by Diptyque ..

In this little travel beauty bag there are four 25ml bottles, all white, with a simple, plain design. There is an infused facial mist, a make-up remover cream, a clay facial scrub and a protective moisturizer…

Review…

The Make Up Remover

Ideal for cleansing and nourishing the skin. I love its smell and balm-like texture,which transforms into an oil as soon as I start to rub it into my skin to remove my make-up. I also use it with “la brosse Mia” for a much deeper, yet gentle cleanse. You do need to take your time when removing eye make-up, and finish by using some cotton wool, before rinsing with warm water.

I also tried it as a face-mask and left it on for 10 minutes, Afterwards, my skin felt silky smooth …

The Facial Mist

Made with Damascus rose, this hydrating spray is just magic. The smell is subtle and delicate and it is truly perfect for hydrating, toning and waking up the skin!

I personally use it in the evening, after removing my make-up and in the morning when I first get up, to really freshen up my skin.

The Clay Facial Scrub

This mixture of kaolin, powdered rice and apricot oil comes together to create a soft exfoliating scrub that has a very pleasant texture…

Normally I am not a fan of facial scrubs, but this one is very light and my skin reacts well to it. I apply it once a week and massage it gently into my skin, before rinsing with tepid water. I then use the mist to finish and my complexion is perfect. Like peaches and cream.

The Protective Moisturizer

This cream, scented with orange blossom, again uses a base made from Damascus rose and calendula ..

It is very hydrating, maybe a tad greasy for my liking, as I have combination skin, so instead, I use it as a hand cream or, from time to time, in the evening before going to bed.

2/ The little + .. my mini travel perfume ..

Let me also use this opportunity to tell you about another of my discoveries, and one of my absolute must haves from Diptyque that I have been using for a while now and that I always take with me in my travel kit : the mini, concentrated block of perfume that accompanies me everywhere I go… In a very cute, little black box, It always has pride if place in my bag.

My favorite : “Do son” ; its fragrance of musk and orange blossom has the power to transport me elsewhere ….

3/ To sum up ..

I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of these skin care products, made from flowers… the textures and scents are lovely and my skin is very happy with the results. Whether it be the skin care travel kit or the perfume, the mini format is great and very practical for a weekend getaway or forbackpackers who travel light.
