Between the earth and the sky ... Milo's home @Balangan ..

A little while ago I told you about my adventures in the North of Bali, and the very chic and glamorous Viceroy hotel, lost in the middle of the jungle of Ubud… This time, I went to the South of the Island, for a much more authentic, yet also pleasant, trip by the Indian Ocean…

Welcome @Milo’s Home ..

I just fell in love with this super cute and peaceful guest house, located in Bukit, just five minute walk away from the beautiful white sandy beaches. Run by an adorable French woman living on the island, Milo’s home is made up of ten baleines style bungalows made of wood, simple but comfortable and perfectly equipped. We find ourselves drifting softly off to sleep to the sounds of the ocean or the rain. So romantic ..

Food //

There isn’t an official restaurant to speak of at Milo’ s house, but we can eat breakfast by the pool, taking full advantage of the magnificent view of the ocean, and there is a small selection of treats available, including fresh juice, to be found on the menu…

Activities :

Relaxing by the pool in lazy mode, following breakfast on one of the lilos.
Renting a scooter at the entrance to Milo’s home and exploring the surroundings : the villages, the little windy roads, the temples like the Uluwatu temple, which is not far… A must: at the end of the day, going to the beach of Jimbaran to admire the beautiful sunset whilst enjoying a home-made smoothie…
Another thing to do is to visit the beach below and take a dip in the delightful, warm waters of the Indian ocean, in “wild and free” mode… Be careful though, as the waves can be particularly strong on this beach…

Total bliss ..

Fancy a jacuzzi ? Massage ? The neighboring establishment of la Joya Biubiu has a magnificent spa outside. The painted wooden décor is sublime, the massages accompanied by the sounds of the waves, and the jacuzzi situated on the cliff top, overlooking the ocean, offers the most breathtaking view of the horizon ! What more could you ask for?

In short ..

I loved it … I spent several days in this little paradise , before continuing my journey around the island. This place is perfect for a relaxing vacation, which is also authentic, or for a mini-break before heading off to other places in Bali. Whether you are with your partner, your friends or your family, it is simply perfect. The rates are very reasonable: in the high season it’s roughly around 65 euros for a standard bungalow for 2 people, and for a deluxe bungalow for 2 : 75 euros … breakfast included…..
