# Aquazzura boots, my winter must haves shoes..

Today I wanted to share with you one of my (many) great loves and favourites for winter shopping. Due to constantly wearing superb shoes, and the latest jewellery trends during my photo shoots, I sometimes find it hard to resist temptation….One of my favourite new brands is called Aquazzura. It is an Italian shoe brand, the logo of which is a pineapple, therefore it was of course, love at first sight 🙂 They offer a large range of heels, ankle and knee boots, sandals etc and like most Italian brands, very high quality material that respects your feet! These shoes are magnificent, well finished, and very comfortable, despite the size of some of the heels…

Winter is coming ..

During my stay in New York, I was looking for something warm to face the cold city, a replacement for my sacred Uggs and other soft and cosy boots that I usually wear until they are worn out…. At Aquazzura the fashion this winter is a boot with fringing which they do in a heeled ankle boot, or a moon boot in camel and black. Of course I loved both but had to choose one. So after many hesitations I opted for the fringed knee boot in black.

It exists also in camel and in two sizes ; The knee version “Karlie” has laces half way up the leg , and the ankle boot “Boho” just has the decorative fringing. This kind of snow boot is perfect for a chic or casual look and can be worn with leggings or skinny jeans as they are very wide fitting. I really love the camel Boho ankle boots and the knee boot in black is gorgeous, much more elegant, but still as cosy and comfy as the Ugg boots, which unfortunately we see, everywhere! It was time for me to move on to something new.

Where to buy them ??

We can find them in London and Italian boutiques, but unfortunately there are no Aquazzura boutiques in France… The good news is that we can find them at the “ Galeries Lafayettes” in Paris, or online on net à porter or on my theresa … Oh and they are in sales right now !!!! Otherwise in the US they can be purchased at Saks, Berdgof Goodman, Barneys, Neiman&Marcus.. But whether you are in France or the US it is always better to order online, the prices are much more interesting and the delivery fast and free most of the time… On the brand website Aquazzura, they give a list of all distributors, here.

Last word..

To sum up , I am crazy in love with my cosy and comfy snow boots, i keep wearing them !! There is one slight drawback however for the black versions but I have a solution : the inside is fur lined and to be worn over your socks. To fix this issue, I simply made the the inside waterproof using a special spray, and after having left it to dry on a radiator, I was able to put them back on easily. I also took advantage and used the spray to make the exterior waterproof also using the special ‘ nubuck’ spray. You need to repeat this process regularly so that the shoes both exterior and interior are well clean and protected.

Otherwise, other than that, they are perfect and a must have immediately!
