# some indispensable tips for a turbulence free flight ..

Hello Hello 😉 I’m taking advantage before boarding my plane to make a list of all the things not to forget, in order to have a comfortable and problem free flight…

 A luggage scale . .

The silliest thing, but absolutely imperative, that every traveler should have in their cupboard.. This little tool costs little in order to avoid any unpleasant surprises at the airport, when the air hostess informs you, without mercy, that you are over the allowed amount and that you now have to pay the exorbitant amount for each extra kilo…

A luggage belt . .

Another vital tool in the life of a traveler, and is perfect for keeping your suitcase closed securely if it has already traveled many, many timers before 😉 Using the luggage belt ensures that we do not create a scene with our suitcase spilling out in the middle of the airport, due its many round trips, conveyor belts, and the plane hold where it has more than likely been man handled by the airport staff….. You can get them in a array of colors which makes your suitcase then easier to spot. And of course do not forget your luggage tag with your address, phone number and a small padlock.

Flight socks . .

As everyone knows, women often have problems with blood and lymphatic circulation .. So ladies (and even certain Gentlemen), if as me you are prone to swelling and inflammation during flights, cramps and sore feet, pack your flight socks! They come in black, beige or nude, and are simple and discreet (yes because white flight socks, not so much) .. We can find them easily in any pharmacy … Just so you know, they are not easy to put on because they squeeze very tightly, but there is a special technique making it a lot easier, and any pharmacist will explain this to you when you purchase them .. It is a small help but it allows our legs and feet to feel lighter 😉

Confort kit . .

Personally I always have in my hand luggage a blanket, eye mask, thick socks, toothbrush, mini toothpaste and a little sachet of wipes to freshen up during the long trip… You can also bring your own cushion (blow up is preferable, and more practical to pack) and ear plugs if needed. Most airlines do provide all of these things but the cheapest flights have the bare minimum so you ‘d rather carrying your confort kit with you 😉

Bach flowers “Travel” . .

To prevent jet lag, I always take several drops of “Bach flowers Travel” by Elixirs and Co.. I love it! It is really perfect for being in Zen mode before, during and after each flight, and especially to help with the time difference. Several drops under the tongue in the days leading up to your flight.. Some added info; it is also very effective to calm children and animals before flights too. My sister has just successfully tried and tested on her cat and her bunny, before a very long flight (several drops at the nape of the neck and under the tongue )…

Tray meals & snacks . . .

1 / My vegetarian, gluten free, or other dietary requirement friends…Think carefully before and during reserving your flight ticket and tick the appropriate meal box  if you do not want to find yourself with nothing but an apple and some water during a 10 hour flight .. I have lived this and believe you me it is not fun!  2/Plan to take things that can be nibbled in your bag. I always have with me some almonds, dried fruits, biscuits, energy bars and any sort of small snack, in case of delay or unforeseen stopover for example and also because we don’t always find things that are to our taste at the airport…

Geek kit but not only . . .

Passeport, telephone charger and earphones must of course be a part of your check list for your hand luggage. As airlines send you everything by email, mobile phones must be charged to be able to check flight memo, scan online airplane tickets when boarding etc … An other must, charge all technological equipment in case of security checks, especially in America… And as far as earphones are concerned it always better to bring your own as the ones supplied by the airline are not the best…
