# hello sunshine ... - magic beans and happiness

Summer is coming …

My beauty bag at the moment is full of that holiday feeling, and smells of the sun and the beach… Here is my beauty selection, in bright colors, that I took with me during my long weekend under the sun of the Camargue. The goals of this little escape were simple: take some quality time, relax by the pool, nap, read, and sunbathe together with my partner, taking full advantage of the wild nature, and especially the first rays of sunshine, remembering of course to protect our skin, and really take care of ourselves…

Let’s relax, chill out & unwind ..

. . . Yes, but we must not forget to apply sunscreen, because the first rays are extremely unforgiving;-). For a maximal sun protection, I am always faithful to my protective Bioderma oil in factor 50, that I find excellent for my body.. To protect my face, I wear a hat, and apply compact powder by Sisheido in factor 30. And finally for my hair, I have just tested the organic care by Aveda which is perfect for protecting my hair color from changing with the sun and the pool water…

Always by suncare Aveda, I also tested and approved the hair and body wash, in organic coconut oil, and essential oils.. It is fantastic and easy to rinse, when removing sunscreen, chlorine and salt water. A very soft treatment, and beautifully scented, which we can use on a daily basis without damaging our skin…

. . . After taking a shower, use a little dry oil to hydrate and make the skin shine…For once in my life I am guilty of not being loyal to my usual Nuxe oil, after having discovered the nourishing hair and body oil by Etat pur.. I am absolutely won over by the texture, scent, and also the format of the bottle, which is very practical and not fragile, so ideal for the beach 😉 Of course Nuxe is still part of my holiday bag for a touch of perfumed and sensual luxury and I took full advantage of this sun filled escapade to try out the new perfume of my favorite brand.. and as I love this kind of fragrance, with its smells of coconut and musk, I wore it frequently…And my love also liked it a lot 😉

Too blessed to be stressed ..

For a cheeky touch, not of make-up this time, in my beauty bag .. but a beautiful coral swimsuit by Eres, a small tinted lip balm from “too cool for school ” that I find so cute, and a touch of red nail polish, “pivoine” by Dior, on my toes and i’m good to go ; -) ( to discover the new collection by Dior, click here )

The roll on essential oils for anti nausea/travel sickness by Puressentiel is also always part of my travels , along with the Sea Band bracelets for travel sickness. I never travel without them. And as I am in girly/pink/flamingo mode at the moment, I also bought my plasters with pictures of pink flamingos on ( obviously) for any little injuries, which I found at Monoprix.. Peter really appreciated them actually… He cut his hand, and so had the honor of wearing a pink flamingo plaster for the remainder of our stay 😉

Happiness therapy ..

And of course, some reading doesn’t hurt anyone does it? My books of the moment that I discovered completely by chance at Urban Outfitters are, “Meditation made easy”.. a story about staying Zen and breathing… and “ you’re a baddass”, a really extraordinary book about having confidence and believing in yourself.. And all this with my pink flamingos to keep me company.. Oh yes, since I also caved (still at Monoprix) on these adorable hair clips that I used as book marks….

Now, nothing else to do but relax, and take full advantage of life under the sun…
